DYNAMIC COMPUTER SIMULATION ANALYSIS SD

What is it?

Dynamic computer simulation also known as dynamic thermal modelling is a tool that allows us to simulate how a building will behave thermally.

What is it for?

Almost any building can be modelled to predict how will perform under different conditions, in different locations and with different climates.

The benefits of thermal analysis software are unlimited. The intention is to test ideas for your building before building it. Computer simulation is a useful tool to try different options to find which one saves the most energy, which produces the most acceptable internal conditions, and which produces the least carbon dioxide emissions, for example. This issue is of extreme importance as to comply with stricter Building Regulations / Energy Codes on energy conservation and CO2 emissions targets.

Requirements

Building simulation modelling should be done at an early stage of the design, for example at conceptual design RIBA Stage B-C.
