Bristol Harbourside Building 3A

Building 3a is the final site developed in the Bristol Harbourside Masterplan designed by Cullinan Studio. The seven storeys building provided 101 apartments with a mix of 34 one-bed, 50 two-bed and 17 three-bed apartments.

Our technical knowledge combined with Cullinan design skills developed an integrated design approach to achieve compliance for most of the flats in terms of average daylight factor, sunlight access and view of the sky. A series of analysis and recommendations were done during the design development to enable compliance. A theoretical analysis was done without balconies to assess how this amenity can have an impact on daylighting.
